This is it your senior year before you take off and explore the world! It is such an exciting time in your life but it is also stressful making plans for the future. Many questions, what college will I attend? Where will I live? Filling out all the paper work for the colleges and then waiting for the acceptance letters! Some may not decide on that journey. What will my job be? What career shall I pursue? Will I stay at home for a bit or venture out! As I parent of two that have graduated I know the stress. Parents are aprehensive on letting our babies go out in that big world but know that we have to let our little chicks go. Hopefully all the knowledge we have given them, family, teachers, friends, and community have all nurtured them into making smart decisions. We hope they will have the confidence to fly! Okay back to the subject.

When is the best time to take senior portraits? That is up to you. Many like to do their senior photos the summer before their senior year. That is a really organized senior that wants to conquer their to do list quickly. Summer is a great time for a very relaxed session and suntans. The beach may be an option!

Fall is beautiful for senior portraits because Autumn is so colorful! All the leaves are stirring with an electricity in the air, colors of trees are amazing and the weather is still not too cool. This is my favorite time of year!

Winter for senior portraits can be dramatic with all the crazy weather and clouds in the sky. It is a bit colder but if you like to bundle up and hats and scarves this may be perfect. We can even do your session in the snow.

Spring is probably the most popular time of the year for senior sessions. It is right before the deadline! haha. The fields are all green, the flowers are popping and the weather is a perfect temperature. We have lots of options flower fields, green fields, babbling streams or many other options.

So you see anytime is a good time for senior pics it just depends what season you are most fond of! I have been photographing seniors for over 20 years and would love to do your special portraits for your announcements or just for the memories.
