Maternity photography is such an exciting time in a couples life where they dream about this precious bundle of joy coming to the world and what he or she may accomplish or become. I am a maternity photographer in Sonoma County.

The mothers amaze me carrying around their small bundles of joy and waiting for the day the baby arrives. All the changes happening in the mother’s bodies are surreal and joyful but sometimes a bit scary. I think one of the most delightful days can be their maternity shoot.

Wait a minute lets start at the beginning when they find out they are expecting! The moment of joy and utter surprise. Next let’s not forget their lst ultra sound and getting to take home the little 4 x 4 square candid photos of their peanut. This photo series is the lst of many that will be pinned upon their refrigerator. As days turn into weeks she will begin to feel the flutters. That is another turning point of thinking this is really happening. Finally she begins to feel a little pregnant maybe a little bloated. Mother has good days and then some bad days such as indigestion. Finally planning starts and the room is being decorated. Now is the point where I fit in.
